Our skin is our most important defense organ, as it protects us from external stimuli such as bacteria, viruses and UV rays. At the same time, it serves as our calling card, as first impressions in social interactions are often shaped by the visual and tactile perception of our skin. This has a significant impact on our social life as well as our physical and mental well-being.
